What can we do

together

Donating to Interlife is an important gesture because the projects that Interlife carries out in the south of the world are important. It is possible to give someone an Interlife Toolkit, thanks to which a process of change and development for an entire community is triggered. You can choose child sponsorship or support our projects related to health, emergencies and childhood. Whatever your choice is, you will also support our environmental commitment.

Interlife is an organization that operates in the field of international cooperation through a truly participatory and sustainable development model focusing on the person.

Interlife is a not-for-profit organization that operates in the field of international cooperation through a truly participatory and sustainable development model focusing on the person.

A model that doesn’t just send help but puts in the hands of those living in poverty concrete tools to build a life project for themselves and their families and to start a virtuous circle in their community.

The Interlife Toolkit is a REVOLUTIONARY development model, which does not supply aid or welfare, but offers the opportunity to concretely change one’s life, giving back to our beneficiaries the dignity that only work can give.

Interlife Toolkits are programmes including equipment, raw materials, vocational training and everything needed to start a business, to support oneself and one’s families, and trigger a solidarity chain reaction within your community.

In 12/24 months, the beneficiaries will be able to start their own micro-enterprise, thanks to the training and constant support of Interlife. Once the start-up stage is over, they will have to replicate the Interlife Toolkit by donating it to another member of the village in difficulty, who will in their turn start a new micro-enterprise. This will trigger a chain reaction that will involve an increasing number of people.

Since 2012, Interlife has developed and implemented the Toolkit Interlife model in favour of the most vulnerable people and in different rural contexts: crop growth; breeding; buying and selling; tailor shops; transformation of raw materials etc.

Impact studies (Social Return of Investment Analysis / SROI, Socialis, 2019), conducted on the field in Ivory Coast have shown that the Toolkit model has an important effect on the food and financial safety of the beneficiaries: clearly positive results are recorded in terms of immediate and greater availability of food with an increase in agro-pastoral produce, which in just one year becomes sufficient to cover a family’s food needs.

Studies also show that 90% of beneficiaries who start a Toolkit have the possibility to supplement family nutrition, not only with produce derived from their Toolkit business, but also with the purchase of more foodstuffs and that, for as many as 84% of beneficiaries, there is an increase in the number of meals per day, which go from 1 meal to 3 daily meals.

In order to fight malnutrition in a clear and impactful way, and to guarantee important and lasting results, it is necessary to act on the causes at a social, economic and family levels.

In the areas where we work, 46% of the population lives below the poverty line and 75% of the people aged 18 to 40 don’t work at all or work sporadically due to the lack of education and skills, of access to credit and the resources needed to start one’s own business.

In the targeted areas 3/4 of the population has no access to:

  • Education and skills
  • Credit
  • Initial resources to start one’s own activity
